Acrilyka by Valerictorian

I'm living on borrowed time, and because of that,
everyday is a miracle.

In this lifetime, I live to tell a story.

I owe you,
when
I don't share what I know.

I write to live.
My love for words
created
a series of
obsessive compulsive behaviours -

word collecting,
word crafting,
word shaping,
typing and handwriting experimenting.

ACRILYKA by Valerictorian is a personal journal.
Visit www.valerictorian.blogspot.com
where I catalogue daily lessons drawn from personal encounters and a voracious appetite for reading.

monotony and mediocrity
bore me to the bones

creativity and art,
wisdom and truth,
results and breakthroughs,
Bach and Tchaikovsky
awaken my soul

clean food,
iced bitter coffee and
cold and deodorised air helps me live longer

all sorts of people colour up my world.

One word I used to hardly acknowledged and understood was
    ‘Joy’.
If my life were represented by a tree, and all the characteristics of maturity -  love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control, each a fruit,
    Joy would be a bud.
Along with Joy, are the words ‘enjoy’, ’ fun’ and ‘HAHAHAHA’s.
Learning how to enjoy is a very complex feat for people with extreme choleric-melancholic personality like mine.
When you like to live life fast, furious, lean and mean, you miss out on the fun of it almost all the time. This year, I’ve learned, one of the worst things you could commit against yourself, is to accomplish great things without knowing how to enjoy doing it and having it after that.
People have children, but don’t enjoy them after they’ve out of their cuteness.
People slog at work for more money to buy bigger houses and bigger rides to pay bigger mortgages and bigger credit card bills - altogether dread work and stress themselves bald.
    Life is hell without enjoyment!
And to enjoy, we have to tweak our perspectives.
The past four weeks have been busy but I’ve been enjoying it. I wrote and read and read and wrote for work, leisure and ministry. I was not motivated by stress but passion and purpose. There have been long meetings and late nights but they were altogether enjoyable as I went through these with passion and purpose in mind.
    This, is liberty!
I’m looking forward to another day of enjoyment.
For that to come quickly, I better rest my head now.
