Acrilyka by Valerictorian

I'm living on borrowed time, and because of that,
everyday is a miracle.

In this lifetime, I live to tell a story.

I owe you,
when
I don't share what I know.

I write to live.
My love for words
created
a series of
obsessive compulsive behaviours -

word collecting,
word crafting,
word shaping,
typing and handwriting experimenting.

ACRILYKA by Valerictorian is a personal journal.
Visit www.valerictorian.blogspot.com
where I catalogue daily lessons drawn from personal encounters and a voracious appetite for reading.

*

monotony and mediocrity
bore me to the bones

creativity and art,
wisdom and truth,
results and breakthroughs,
Bach and Tchaikovsky
awaken my soul

clean food,
iced bitter coffee and
cold and deodorised air helps me live longer

all sorts of people colour up my world.

  • Work Like Play.

I was offered a position at this film production house recently.

The office is a modernised pre-war terrace where a house cat, Sashimi, roams and purrs for food. Spacious, shady and lined with a menagerie of cameras, the ground floor is the polar opposite of second level.

First step in, I was instantly warmed by all the familiar favourite things in the room.

Drum and bass music, an interesting mix of 1970s chairs and Apple computers, and the soft orange glow from three giant white lanterns.

Working here wouldn’t be work at all.

    I turned the offer down.

Good ideas aren’t always right ideas.

Great opportunities aren’t always right opportunities.

    I’m glad I didn’t rush in.

I’m happy to be working with the producer on a project basis.

Currently, the assignment is a series of video scripts for Sentosa’s Spa Botanica.

Work is joy when you’re moving in your element, your gift.

    What’s yours?

    Develop and share it.

    Let others enjoy your gift.
