Acrilyka by Valerictorian

I'm living on borrowed time, and because of that,
everyday is a miracle.

In this lifetime, I live to tell a story.

I owe you,
when
I don't share what I know.

I write to live.
My love for words
created
a series of
obsessive compulsive behaviours -

word collecting,
word crafting,
word shaping,
typing and handwriting experimenting.

ACRILYKA by Valerictorian is a personal journal.
Visit www.valerictorian.blogspot.com
where I catalogue daily lessons drawn from personal encounters and a voracious appetite for reading.

monotony and mediocrity
bore me to the bones

creativity and art,
wisdom and truth,
results and breakthroughs,
Bach and Tchaikovsky
awaken my soul

clean food,
iced bitter coffee and
cold and deodorised air helps me live longer

all sorts of people colour up my world.

I miss the glorious spreads my grandmother prepared at my childhood home.

We always dined at the coffee table where dishes and cups occupy the entire space.

Halved papayas to carve out with miniature spoons.

Runny half-boiled eggs which I’d pepper, guzzle and lick clean.

Fragrant bread with sweet and tangy orange marmalade.

Crispy dough sticks dunked in iced soya bean milk.

Cold milk to drench a sprawl of assorted cereal - Fruit Loops, Frosties, Corn Corn Pops, Honeyed flakes, Frosted Wheaties and the classic corn flakes.

A handsome feast enjoyed with hours of cartoon TV and most marvelous of all, the company of grandmother.

The first thing I want to do when I’m in heaven, is to throw a breakfast feast and enjoy it with her.
